what is the truth?

How to define and identify truth?

Truth is most often used to mean in accordance with fact or reality. The opposite of truth is falsehood. Many people through the centuries were looking for the truth. And now, you my friend, are one of them - one of the seekers of  truth. You are sick of the lies and deception that surrounded you all your life and you are ready and willing to finally find and face the truth. The English word “truth” is the translation from Hebrew  “Emet”.

What is truth?

According to Messianic Judaism “Truth” is the revealed "Word of Elohim” found in Kitvei HaKodesh (the Holy Scriptures - Tanach and Brit Hadashah)

Many years ago Pontius Pilate had the same question “What is truth?” Yeshua answered and said, "...For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Yohanan/John 18:37f.

Yeshua answered him that He bore witness to the Truth. What does it mean?

Yeshua, Himself, is the embodiment of Davar (Word) Elohim, which is the TRUTH. Yeshua bears witness to Emet (Truth), to the Word of His Father.

There is only one TRUTH - KITVEI HAKODESH - THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, THE WHOLE BIBLE. If you TRULY want to know the TRUTH, you have to study it.

The Scriptures also tell us that without the Messiah of Israel it is impossible to come to the Father.

seekers of truth

You can recognize the Messiah of Israel through Biblical prophecies and historic facts. You cannot argue with this, for you cannot re-write history. These historic events were recorded in Brit Hadashah (New Covenant) and other documents of that time period.

The birth of Yeshua HaMashiach was recorded as follows.

After His mother Miryam was engaged to Yosef (was given in erusin to Yosef), before they came together, she was found to be pregnant from Ruach HaKodesh. And Yosef her husband, being righteous (being a tzaddik), and not wishing to make a show of her, had in mind to put her away secretly (planned to deal with the get in a private arrangement). But while he thought about this, see, a messenger (a malach) of Yahweh appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Yosef, son of David (ben David), do not be afraid to take Miryam as your wife (do not shrink from taking Miryam in nisuim as your basherte, kallah), for that which is in her was brought forth from Ruach HaKodesh. And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name YESHUA for He shall save His people from their sins. And all this came to be in order to fulfill what was spoken by Yahweh through the prophet (hanavi), saying, “See, an ‘almah’ shall conceive, and she shall give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanuel (HINEI, HAALMAH HARAH VYOLEDET BEN VKARAT SHMO IMMANUEL), which translated, means 'El with us'".
